كثيراً ما نرى العروس ليلة زفافها تبكي، حتى وإن تزوجت الشخص الذي اختارته بنفسها وكانت تحبه، فهذا لن يمنعها عن البكاء، فهي تبقى غارقة بمشاعرها المختلطة في ليلة زفافها، على الرغم من أجواء الفرح التي تسود المشاركون من الأهل والأصدقاء.
وتدخل العروس ليلة زفافها في عالمها الخاص، فما هي إلا ساعات تمضي وتغادر البيت الذي شهد طفولتها وأحلامها وربيع عمرها، وتفارق الأهل وتنتقل إلى عش الزوجية الذي عايشته حلماً جميلاً وزوجاً تتمنى معه السعادة وحلماً بالذرية الصالحة.
وبين فراق الأهل ولقاء الزوج تتوارد الخواطر والأمنيات في ذهن العروس.
وتشعر بالوحدة رغم زحام المحيطين بها لتنساب دموعها، فتسرع الحاضرات بالتأكيد على أنها دموع الفرح ولكن العروس هي وحدها التي تعرف الجواب، فما هو السبب وراء ذلك؟
يقول الكثيرون أن ذرف دموع العروس ليلة زفافها يعود لأسباب عديدة حيث يكون تفكيرها ما إذا كان ستكون سعيدة مع زوجها أم لا، وتنبع هذه المخاوف من إلمامها ومعايشتها للمشاكل الزوجية التي تحدث في كثير من الأسر مما يجعلها قلقة.
إضافة إلى ذلك فدموع العروس ليلة الزفاف تكون اقل تعبيراً عن الاضطرابات الداخلية وخوفها من الفشل في خوض تجربة الزواج الجديد، كما أنها دموع منطقية حيث تقف العروس على أعتاب المجهول لا تدري عنه شيئاً.
وهناك من يقول ان طبيعة المرأة تجعلها حادة في عواطفها، فتترجم ذلك بالدموع التي تأتي لأشياء كثيرة تتصارع في داخلها وقد يصعب تفسيرها حتى بالنسبة للعروس نفسها.
وتكون دموع الفرح بتحقيق الحلم الذي تحلم به كل فتاة، أو ربما هو الخوف من المجهول، فمهما كانت معرفة العروسين بطباع بعضهما البعض ومهما طالت فترة الخطوبة فإن التواصل الحقيقي لا يتم إلا بعد الزواج.
